Red Dawn

Early saturday morning, I went with my friend and upcoming photographer, Jose Luis, to Llovizna Park. We headed over to Tonina Lake to catch the sunrise over water; we hoped to get some beautiful reflections, but we were utterly amazed with the dawn. It had been a while since I had seen such a colorful and dramatic sunrise, the colors were insane and I was thankfull to be at such a beautiful place to capture it these colors lasted only about 5 minutes and then quickly lost intensity and the vibrant hues.
The clouds had incredible texture and caught, reflected and refracted the yelow, oranges, reds and purples and filled the ambience.
The dynamic range was beyond my camera's capabilities, even with a 2 stop grad ND, so I bracketed exposures and then blended them in Photoshop CS4. Aditionally I applied noise reduction, curves adjustments and sharpening.
